The films was good despite the bad lore's but what always confused me was why Marcus the very first vampire was under Victor's command since the deal was that Marcus make Victor a vampire and not let him die and Victor would give Marcus an army to fight the werewolf's. Which is were the word Lycan came from, and since these events are not stated to have happened in these film, which would be useful for explaining the Lycan name. Zeus knowing straight away transformed King Lycaon into a Werewolf. King Lycaon prepared a dinner and served the peasants that he has recently killed. In the very first Werewolf tale which tells of King Lycaon who was a cruel person to his people, Zeus Greek God of gods came down to witness it himself and found it to be much more worse then he heard, when he revealed himself to King Lycaon, the king did not believe him at so he arranged a test for the god to prove himself (which was to kill him and if Zeus lives he is truly a god and if Zeus dies then he was lying). The story tells that the first werewolf was William Corvinus, son of Alexander Corvinus who gave him the power. The other problem i have is the name Lycans, though it is historical correct since the story of The Beast of Le Gevaduan which introduced the word, in the Underworld origin story of werewolf it does not fit, and here are some reasons. In the Underworld vampire lore if a vampire drinks another vampires blood he or she get said memory (which is a pretty cool addition) and their body's receive the energy needed. But i have some problems with the lore of the films itself and in this film i see the problem being the biggest Like for example, in many vampire lore's created by different films vampires can not drink the blood from themselves or other vampires because of how the blood is structured, meaning if they were to drink each others blood it would case no effect to there body. But i have some problems with the lore of the films itself and in this film i see the problem being the biggest Like for example, in many vampire lore's created by I thought the film was alright after following up from the last film since the film is set very shortly after the last film.

Made me chuckle, in fact.I thought the film was alright after following up from the last film since the film is set very shortly after the last film. Obviously, the film wasn’t about sex, but given their love and passion for one another, I don’t feel the scene reflected this at all.

It was a really daft scene where they slowed everything down and set it to some soppy music. The two species inhabit different social strata and have distinct cultures: Vampires are sophisticated and aristocratic, whereas werewolves are street smart and thuggish. But no, it turned out to be rather airy-fairy. Horror thriller set in a Gothic metropolis where vampires and werewolves have been at war with each other for centuries. You’d expect carnal relations between two immortals to be somewhat passionate and explosive. One laughable point, though, was the inevitable sex scene. I have to confess that I wasn’t overly keen on the wolves and werewolves – they certainly didn’t look real to me, but perhaps I’m more picky than most! The rest of the special effects were fantastic, though, in particular the fight scenes it’s edge-of-your-seat stuff. The back story was thorough and really led you into the story – I was immediately engrossed in the action. He seems to be able to turn his hand to playing any type of character and do a good job of it, but he’s had plenty of practice his CV reads like your average novel, after all. I thought she was a tad wooden but I suppose it could have been down to the character she played, rather than her acting. He was so convincing, his speeches so stirring, that even I wanted to join the Lycans! Rhona Mitra, playing Sonja wasn’t quite so good. Michael Sheen (currently being seen in Frost/Nixon) was impressive as Lucian, particularly during the uprising. The two are in love and for obvious reasons are keeping their relationship a secret, knowing it would mean certain death for both of them. What Viktor does not realise, though, is that Lucian is enjoying the biggest privilege of all – Viktor’s daughter, Sonja. So although Lucian is not ‘free’ he enjoys certain privileges that the rest of the werewolves do not. Viktor trusts Lucian and, though he won’t admit it, has a soft spot for him. A young Lycan called Lucian is elevated slightly above the rest of his race by the vampire king. The story begins back when the Lycans are the vampires’ slaves, forced to wear collars to prevent them from changing to their wolf form, and yet also expected to serve and protect them. The film in question deals with the back story of two supernatural races, the vampires, also known as Death Dealers, and the Lycans – perhaps better known as werewolves.
